The Docker Files
I started researching and testing how using Docker to help reach the goal of being able to easily collaborate with other developers, and quickly release our changes.
I was able to set up a few different types of test environments, and set up a mock project using both DockerHub and Aptible very easily!
I’m excited to start migrating a project I’ve been working on. Maybe I’ll start with DockerHub on a free account next because the migration will also include a change to use Ruby on Rails, rather than a custom Perl backend. Since Aptible’s services are much more than I need during this phase, I probably won’t want the added expense. More on that next time.
